Imaginescence Range "play" kit

Image
This is a kit I'm doing for the shop. It's a three page kit using papers from Imaginescence.  This layout uses those Miss M photography photos and as you can see they do go with such a wide range of papers... I'm not finished showing those photos and different papers though so you'll see lots more yet. I used flags and pin wheels to show off the papers and create a fun vibe to the page.  These photos aren't the greatest quality which is why I used them in this way. By cutting all the photos down to the same size and cutting out all the "useless" background the photos now tell the story better.  For this layout I've used two photos horizontally across the page.  In each of the layouts in this kit I've tacked the "design aspect" in a different manner to showcase how to tackle each of these scenarios 1. An enlarged photo for a single photo layout. 2. Multiple photos of poor zoom (bet you've got lots of those in your stash

The way is not in the sky, The way is in the Heart.

Here's another layout using photos from the "Miss M" photoshoot. Here I used my cricut to cut the frame from Kaisercraft 75 cents paper range and a TCW stencil and glimmermist to creat the background. Unusually for me I didn't make any flowers (LOL) instead using flowers from Kaisercraft that perfectly match the paper range. The "tiddlybits" lamp post and chair look great raw but you can ink, paint or cover it in paper

More of those gorgeous photos by Miss M Photography.  This is a layout I've done for my beginners scrapbook class. This will give them a chance to try some more advanced techniques like stencilling and sewing.   I have used a Prima Stencil and glimmermist on my background to create a soft lattice effect. The hand stitched hearts are achieved using the sew easy tool with the heart head and the papers used are from the Kaisercraft 75 cents range.   A really simple layout with clean lines and a minimalist approach to the design.

Mothers Day Canvas

Image
Here's a canvas I did for Mothers Day using the same technique with the papers as my "So Happy" layout.  I made these flowers with crepe paper and sprayed them with glimmermist to get the right colour. The hand stitching on this layout was really easy to do on the canvas (Much easier than on paper!) I used a soft metallic pink paint for the background and tim holz distress ink on the edges of the canvas to create a  darker shadow effect.

So happy

Here's a layout I did for my beginners scrapbooking class.  This is a really simple but effective design. You can either cut the squares and cover the whole background or do as I have done and filll in the gaps around your photos with paper. I love this technique when I have papers I want to show off.   If you wanted to add more work to your page you could sew straight lines between the boxes from one side of the page to the other to form lines around all of the pieces of patterned paper.  This paper is from Imaginescence isn't it adorable? So appropriate if you have a new puppy in your life like us. lol

Mothers Day Card Kit

Image
I love the Graphic 45 Secret Garden range of papers and thought it lended itself beautifully to a mothers day card so because I don't have anyone to give a mothers day card to I made this one up as a quick kit for sale in the store.  I used Tim Holz distress ink to ink the edges and stamp my sentiment, to give a "shabby chic" feel to the card. The centre is a stamp from kaisercraft 75 cents range stamped on acetate with silver stayzon.

Together

I love these photos that we had taken by Miss M Photography (link to her facebook available on a previous post).  The yellow was a different choice for me as usually I go with a colour a few of us have in our wardrobe but this time it was because I have so much yellow... lol. I think the yellow worked really well! I've been amazed at how many paper ranges these photos go with. This is a very "classic" design to this layout but it is still effective.  This is probably one of my more costly layouts as I had to buy two plain cardstocks, two pattern papers, three packets of flowers and one bling embellishment...... but I have lots of left overs to do a few more layouts, or cards LOL

What I like about you

Here's a layout and card I did for a kit for the shop.   I love these papers from My Minds Eye and wanted to use them in a way that would showcase each paper so I went with the flags. I also kept the pieces snipped out of the end of each flag to make the card. The card is so simple and with the row of hand stitching very bespoke.  These kits have fun out now but I wanted to share this with you for the layout.

Mixed Media Canvas - Friendship

Image
This mixed media canvas was alot of fun! I used the Bo Bunny Isabella papers and trinkets along with lace and other pretty buttons. I created this canvas for a girlfriend of mine who liked a canvas I had done for my outdoor area. As she was moving away I wanted to give her something I'd created to show her how much I appreciate her friendship.  As the one she liked was looking a little tired I couldn't just give her that one so I did another one inspired by it to go above her bed and this is what I came up with. I painted the background with pale pink acrylic shimmer paint then using a TCW Stencil and charcoal glimmermist I misted the background. Then I used the acrylic paint with some texture paste and another TCW stencil to create some dimension with the pink swirl.  Kaisercraft rub-ons and wooden ornate gates (painted with chrome spray paint) were used to embellish and journal the canvas. I used the Tim Holz Sizzix Die with the key, lock and gate hinge to create

You make me so very happy.

Here are two layouts I created using the Kaisercraft Botanicals range.  I was shopping with my oldest daughter with her christmas money and she wanted to buy herself this dress and then while we were there I noticed outfits that match for my other two children so I just had to get them.. as any addicted scrapbooker will understand... photos with co-ordinating outfits making scrapbooking your page so much easier... So one morning Miss 4 gets up and is DETERMINED to wear this dress (with the dots)... so rather than fight with her and have a cranky child all day over something so trivial, or repress her nature and keep her clean all day I just dressed the other kids in their co-ordinating outifts and headed for the park.  For an impromptu shoot  we did pretty good I think.  LOL The second layout "You Make Me So Very Happy" is one I did for Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine. In fact that month I did two layouts on the theme "Use a Song Title" for your layout.

Love at Home Kit

This is a kit I've done for Arnolds Scrapbooking store  (0732934390).  This double page kit is $15. It's a very simple layout using the beautiful photos by my friend Sharon. Anyone looking to get photos done on the Sunshine coast up to Hervey Bay should definitely consider Sharon. Her work is stunning!  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Miss-M-Photography/174395792598967?fref=ts

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since I posted. I've been so busy... lol... aren't we all!.... Now that I am working in the shop I have so much more scrapbooking to do! Sorry guys....... I'll start rectifying that tomorrow by uploading some of the layouts I've done for kits. Here's a layout I did for Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine hope you like it. I used a few techniques... I fussy cut the photo, use a TCW stencil with texture paste and made some flowers (don't i always? lol)
