Image
So here is another free digital element I promised you. There is one more coming!  I just love a FREEBIE... hope you do to! http://www.mymemories.com/store/share_the_memories_kit_2 This Freebie is MyMemories Suite Compatible.  What does that mean??? It means that you can now load the freebie directly into your MyMemories Suite Software, and then completely customize them with any paper and embellishments that you have. If you don't have MyMemories Suite Software you can still download it but you won't be able to customize it. TIP: Remember to set your margins as small as possible on your printer to get the best size book possible!!! NOTE: Each Freebie has a different page layout, but contains a total of 6 pages for your book. Your finished book will hae 3 double sided pages when printed. TIP: You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing....

Digitally Scrapbook a Backpack

Image
As usual everything is so busy around here. DD2 has just cut two teeth while DS1 has just lost two teeth... and the tooth fairy was a day late cause I'm so busy with stuff (oops!) But I have had time to do a few crafty things lately.... here's a digital batch I've been working on: I'm so excited about these! Can't wait to pick them up from the store! Both my kids will be doing swimming at school next term and I had a brilliant idea to help them easily find their bag amongst all the other bags (and help the teachers and helpers assist them) by designing their swim bags. So here are the digital designs I created using the kit "Twirl" from the Shabby Princess online store (LOVE THEIR DESIGNS). This first one is on a red bag: and this second one is on a green bag: I think these will be really easy for the kids to find....LOL!

Paparazzo el Jordan

To keep myself calm this morning waiting to go for my amnio appointment I did a little digital scrapbooking. I found cutting things up a little dangerous with my hands shaking so much. So here is a layout I completed of my DS. I'm not 100% sure of the italian but if anyone can guide me on that......... I like the idea of journal strips like this as it gives you a great way to use up your plain paper stash for your traditional scapbooking. This gorgeous kit is from the Shabby Shoppe. shabbyprincess.com

Butterfly Kisses

Between school holidays and false start Doctor appointments I haven't had much time to myself lately to do much scrapbooking. I have to go back next week for another try at the amnio as the baby wouldn't co-operate this week. If it wasn't so frustrating it'd be funny.... you see everywhere the doctor contemplated sticking the needle.. the baby stuck a body part.. It went something like this Dr and Radiologist talking: What about here? No now there's a hand there.... What about over here ? No that's a foot... O.K. what about this angle? That's not good there's the bottom. Gee this baby is moving around ALOT! So I have to get psyched up for it all again next week. Hopefully we'll have better luck next time. Anyway..... so with no me time to scrapbook I found this old layout I did of DD and her lovely long eyelashes. It's one of the very first ones I did using the scrapbook max program. The papers and elements are all standard with the program...

Day 3 of our Holiday to the Sunshine Coast

Image
Here's day 3 of our holiday. We started at the Eumundi Markets, where I got some lovely macadamia nut butter, and a spicy pear dip and beautiful handmade soap for gifts. Then the kids had gorgeous cupcakes for morning tea. After that it was off to the park for a play and then home for lunch and a swim in the resort pool.

Christmas 2007 Layouts

Here's some digi layouts I completed today. The thing I love about digi scrapping is how quick and easy it is. Whenever I need a scrapbooking fix and I don't have alot of time to spare I can throw together a digi layout. These multi-photo layouts were completed using another kit from Shabby Princess. I've been investigating the costs of printing my layouts and have decided that I will print my digi layouts at the photo lab and then bind them together in a book (using free chipboard for the covers). This will allow me to make albums any size i like and give me the chance to decorate the covers. Now all I need is that binding machine I saw... lol I was thinking of laminating the pages. Can anyone tell me if that would be safe to do or would it ruin the photos?

Happy Holidays - A Christmas Layout

Image
I haven't had much time to post lately. It's school holidays here so I'm trying to keep the kids occupied.... which is somewhat hampered by all the rain we've had since Christmas. Now this is a really sticky topic around here as we're in such desperate need of the rain that none of us mums are game to wish out loud for a sunny day but we're all secretly crossing our fingers. Anyway with all the visiting of friends and going to the movies etc I haven't been home much to do any scrapbooking let alone blog. I have burnt the midnight oil a couple of times though to complete a present for my girlfriend for her birthday. (A folder to store report cards and class photos for own every year of school from pre-school to grade 7 AND another box of handmade cards). Consequently I'm getting a little antsy to get to some of my own projects... So this evening I did some digi scrap to help get me by. This layout took aroud 15 minutes to complete and the kit I used was...

Summer Beach layouts

Image
I love the BEACH! It's finally warming up enough to go to the beach. As we're only two blocks from the beach I take the kids there alot! But if we're going swimming I go to the man made lagoon as I don't have to worry about sea lice or jellyfish with the kids. The thing I like most about the weather warming us is the photo opportunities it presents. This layout was done with the photos of our last day at the beach (Autumn 2007) and now I can't wait for the Spring 2007 shots so I can experiment with this kit some more. This is a digikit so for once I don't need the shells. One of the things I love to do is walk up and down the beach with the kids finding little shells and pieces of coloured glass and I take a little bag and fill it with sand to take home. All of these items make perfect embellishments for my pages and best of all they're FREE! I think the beach is one of the best sources of free supplies. I have even found nylon netting and fishing line and o...
