Handmade Valentines Day Cards

Image
Here are a couple of valentines day cards I made really quickly. For this card I used the technique of dry embossing on velum to do the hearts and then cut them out. I stamped the front and inside of the card with this Kaiser stamp and then I used a simple square of silver shiny cardstock and a smaller square of red patterned paper. The hearts were glued down with one using pop dots to raise it up. And finally I used a TLC sticker for the inside of the card. This card was even simpler I just stamped the front of the card with the Kaiser stamp using black ink and then I stamped "Love" using a gold ink and the Inkado stamp. Once this was dry I went back and painted parts of the stamp with gold paint. (sorry for the blurry photos I was in a rush to photograph it before DH saw it. Hide'n'Seek

Image
This layout was really quick! I've been hoarding green and pink things for a while now as my son's school uniform is green and my daughter loves wearing pink. I used a vellum that I had bought in a bulk pack some time ago as my background. Some chipboard letters I bought for $2 (decorated!) and a napkin I loved to fill in the blanks and create a sort of hide and seek effect of the photos.

Feathers on a Layout

This is my latest layout. The first photo is the best one to show you the colour. It's actually a double page spead in the same colours but the camera went a little odd.... Now a little odd is being nice it's actually stopped working! I'm having withdrawl symptoms all ready and it's only been two days. Intellectually I know I have a heap of back photo's to scrap but I'm still hyperventillating. I'm really amazed though.... they don't build things like they used to... it's only 11months old??? So if you'd all like to pray for the health of my camera I'd be really appreciative.... lol This layout was really fun to do. I covered the page in feather to mirror the furryness of her jacket and I went with purple because it's her favourite colour. I made the tag's out of vellum and used the cool embossing plate I got free with a magazine to emboss the words on it. It's not the cheapest layout I've done but definitely the most fun! ...
