Scrapbooking Made Simple

This month I have a few classes on at  Arnolds Scrapbooking Store .  I have two canvas projects of varying sizes and another class on how to make flowers. The flower making class will give you lots of different flowers of varying sizes to make and one of them doesn't require any special punch or diecut to achieve a quick and easy flower (in fact you can see it on my pink and brown canvas below... the brown flower in the bottom left hand corner of the canvas). Hi everyone, well I'm sure you're all busy making gifts for friends and family getting ready for Christmas. I make these two canvases and will be giving the blue one away to the special lady in the photo with me. She was my mum's best friend. This year my husband and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach for our 15th Wedding Anniversary and she came. Darling Hubby sang the Savage Garden Song "I think I Loved You before I met you" to me as I walked down the isle. Afterwards she made me cry ALOT by giving me as a gift the crystal clock my mum gave her for a wedding present many many years ago. So I made this canvas to gift to her as a thank you gift. I went with the beads! I sewed these pearl beads on for effect. Mostly because I've forgotten how to do my french knots. LOL! This is the final layout I did at the scrap night last week. For a multiphoto layout there is still lots of room to embellish which is nice. In these photos the kids were waiting for someone to arrive (can't remember who) and DD used the time to lavish lots of hugs and kisses on her big brother. I am undecided if I will sew french knots where the pencil dots are around my hand sewing swirl or if I'll attach little beads. I love the pink and brown papers I used here on the chipboard letters. They're from the Die Cuts With a View Glitter stack range. I inked the edges of the page for a little more interest and then used a gorgeous sparkly pink embroidery cotton to sew my swirls. This is another page pre-done. It's a free kit from 2 Peas by Rhonna Farrer. I love the ease of these sort of pages. As they help me to catch up with alot of the back log. I always like to add something else as it makes it my own, so I added the journal block which was another free element from 2 Peas.
