Baby Ella Birth Notice

Hi everyone, well here's the details of the arrival of my latest bundle of joy. She's a gem of a baby. Sleeping and eating well. She even manages to nap all day with her big brother and big sister pawing her and patting her.


I won't be making regular posts for a little while as I'm getting the hang of her routine and napping as much as possible. But my sister-in-law Anne has generously offered her services so you won't be missing out on posts over the next couple of seeks. . I think you'll enjoy the different perspective too as she's a fantastic crafter with embroidery and sewing as her extra skills so you'll definitely get some new ideas.

Hi I'm Anne Patterson I am the mother of two beautiful boys and have been scrapping for about four years, but it has only been in the last year or so where I have been really trying to push myself. My favourite thing to do is paper piecing and I also enjoy stitching on my LO's although I don't do this as often as I should. I also happen to be Kyra's Sister-in-Law and scrapping is our shared passion.

OMG I am behind the times here! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! that is such good news...glad to hear your little darling is doing well. Ella Rose is such a pretty name. I absolutely love how all the older names are making a comeback Kyra! I hope you continute to do well and get some sleep! God bless you all xox

Cardstock only Layouts

After looking at the cost of a layout I'm going to challenge myself to do some cardstock only layouts (not for my wedding though). Do you think you could manage it? Well I'm not sure but I'm gonna give it a go. But it does get a little ridiculous the costs, con't you think? So I'm going to challenge myself to do a layout using cardstock and patterned paper only! Of course not having a cricuit or sizzix or anything this will mean hand cutting my title....... painstaking... BUT I think it'll be a challenge artistically too. These layouts were done by Deb of Toowoomba and you can see how she's used her paper and cardstock to acentuate her photo's theme.... I especially love the dolphin! When I went to a scrapbook evening recently one of the ladies did a fabulous layout using paper piecing. She made Dora the Explorer layous and her 'dora' was fantastic. Coffee Mugs are Finished

Here are the digi scrapped coffee mugs I told you about a few posts back. They're back from the "printer". These were really easy to do. I first created my document that I was digi scrapping and I made the size of the document 4" x 6'" (a standard photo). I then decorated that page using my digital scrapbooking papers and embellishments and finally added the photos. I then went to my local photo lab and uploaded these images to their software and chose to have them printed on mugs. (I chose the stretch option which stretches the image around the mug. So then I had to resize the image to get all my decorations on the mug). And here they are! It only took them a week to print them! So if you're thinking of doing this for a christmas present I think you may just get it back in time...... but check with your photo lab to make sure they could get it back to you before Christmas. I'm happy with the result..... hope the recipients will be too?

Digiscrap a PhotoBook when on special!

Have you ever wondered what to do with all that beautiful digitally scrapbooked work? Well you could print a photo book. I save all my pages up and then when there's a special on (Like the recent $9.95 for a 19 page book at Big W) I go in and get them printed. This way I have a hard copy of my work to show people and I get the pages printed very cheaply... that's around 52 cents per page. Just remember though the specials are more commonly done for the smaller books 8 x 8 etc. So when doing your layouts keep that in mind.
