Swing

Image
Now this photo is really old.... This little toddler is now 7!  I used DCWV papers here and some thickers for the title. This layout is all about her love of swinging..... and not just little swinging... Higher.. Higher! She's still a daredevil! I wanted this whole layout to showcase the beautiful dress she is wearing. I loved this dress so much. My sister-in-law purchased this for her in the States and I loved how different it was. No one else had anything like it. Plus the beautiful embroidered flower on the front was gorgeous. I used an autumn leaves swirl stamp and some kaiser flowers as well as some bling ones. I also used some fiskars punches for the border and the circle around the journal spot.

Tea Party

This layout is another I completed whilst away on retreat one weekend. It's very simple and cheap! My favourite words to use when describing a layout. I used DCWV Sweets Patterned Paper Pack and a paper piecing template as well as some thickers I purchased from the discount store for $2. Again pop dots have been used to make my paper cut outs into embellishments. By cutting out the green border and using pop dots on the page the border then becomes a raised element on the page.

Remember

This layout is all about my best pet EVER! This is sassy. She was a fantastic dog. She seemed to understand everything I said (which is making it really hard cause my kids want a dog and I'm resistant as I know Sassy is a hard dog to replace, we've had 2 since her and they were't a shadow of her). She was more like my baby than my dog. Hence my mum is here playing this little piggy with her. Mum was practicing for grandkids. She had to wait 15 years till she got some but she was well practised with " This little piggy " when they (or rather HE) arrived.. LOL. This layout is called "Remember", which is very hard to see in the photo. I actually stamped and embossed "Remember" onto the page using a Heidi Swapp Stamp. I used the same colour scheme and similar DCWV papers as my layout "Hope" but here I have used them in an entirely different way You can see from the posts I have done that I have a few layouts using similar products. Hope

I love this photo. It's a beautiful moment in time. Even though the baby is now two and a half I still cherish this photo. I did this layout a long time ago now but wanted to share it with you because I think the simplicity of the layout is a perfect example of my style.  The blue and brown colour scheme was driven by the papers which I liked. (I do love blue, it's my favourite colour). As this photo is black and white I could use any colour scheme I like as it doesn't detract from the photo at all. I called this layout "Hope" because, as I have journalled: I hope they will always love each other this much. I used paper from a DCWV paper stack and a cricuit cartridge called pink journey campagne rose, to cut "Hope". I have also used some organza ribbon in two different colours behind my Kaiser flower. I have used pop dots also to give dimension to the page and add depth.
