retreat weekend layout - busting out

Image
Here's one of my retreat weekend layouts: I saved by using a cricuit to cut "busting" out of cardstock and using my velvet puffy marker to do "out ". Also I only used one piece of cardstock and half a sheet of patterned paper. My embellishments were cut from that patterned paper.

Create a Paper Embellishment from Pattern Paper

My sister in law has set her first challenge (she's on the design team at Roll2Create) Check out her blog at : http://scraptastic-stuff.blogspot.com/ I love this challenge as it challenges you to use your pattern paper to create the embellishment... So a paper embellishment you made yourself... I did this on a few of my layouts on the retreat and love the originality of your pages and the $$ saving.

Scrapbook Retreat Weekend at DaisyChain Scrapbooks

I went on a scrapbook retreat with my best scrapbuddy and her work colleage and while we were there I made a new scrapbuddy. I was so lucky to have her at our table. She helped me with one of my layouts (I'll show you in a future blog), it looks fantastic! If you're looking for a retreat to go on this is definitely the one in my opinion. The cost was $175. That gave us two nights accomodation and all meals along with unlimited scrapbooking time at the store. As well as one class and two demonstrations and heaps of freebies. The weekend was a "happy days" themed weekend and the daisy chain girls went all out to make everything fit that theme. We watched happy days and grease too! Friday night we stayed up till midnight and Saturday night it was a 2am bedtime. I know there were other girls who stayed up later than us but we wanted to be ab...

Mothers Day Stall Creations

Hi everyone well here are my creations for the mothers day stall at my kids school. The boxes were free but they had writing on the top and sides so I had to cover those areas with paper. The metal embellishments were provided by the school as well as the sayings.
