My Brother My Hero

This layout is also 8 x 8 size and utilizing the Die Cuts With a View glitter 4 x 6 mat paper stack. To save here I have used papers from the range to create my titles. All the elements are made from paper including the embellishments. The only acceptance to this rule is the jewel in the centre of the flower. And because there isn't alot of room left on a 8x 8 if you use two photos I made all my journalling go around the outside edge of the page like a border. To add interest some of the elements are raised off the page. (yeah for pop dots)!

Sleeping Beauty

This layout is another 8 x 8 layout I have done. This is a photo of my daughter sleeping on her daddy as a baby. I used my alphabet punches to cut out the letters of the words "Sleeping Beauty" though the S and the B were done with chipboard. I love using easy replenishable methods like these to do my titles. Next I used a piece of wool to decorate down one side and then made ribbon flowers to decorate that border. Along that side of the photo I used a brass template to kindy glitz this shape onto the photo. I used my blade to cut out some of the paper so that I could tuck my photo in behind this.... like the paper is hugging my baby. A simple sticker with a saying on it added the final touch.

This is probably one of the nicest photos' we have of my mother-in-law as this was before the illness that took her life, though she wasn't hugely healthy at this point either but it's still one of the nicest photos' we have. I loved this saying: "We sat side by side in the morning light and looked out at the future together." - Brian Andres. It's a very simple layout. The patterned paper is from the DSWV range and a 12 x 12 sheet cost me around $0.38c. The plain paper is from the same company and also cost around $0.38c for a 12 x 12 sheet.... so I still have heaps left as I only used a...
