Know anything about Amnio's?

Hi Everyone, Well I'm going to go off topic a little today cause I'm officially freaking out and I'm hoping some of you can give me some advice. I've had a nuchal translucency scan and they have decided that I need to have an amniocentisis as I am in a very high risk group. So my question is have you had one? Do you know anyone who has had one? Did it hurt much? I'm not looking forward to this at all! At this stage it looks like I'll be having the test not next week the week after. So any advice or tips you have to share with me would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your input guys. THANKS!

Wedding Album - Maid of Honour

Image
This page is about my maid of honour and was done to match the page "Anne - Maid of Honour" as it is the opposite page. I didn't want to use up all my paper from the pack as I know I have alot of photos to go but I still wanted it to match in nicely. I used stamps here to decorate my background and add my title. I love stamps as they are able to be used over and over again. The flowers were in a pack of embellishments that match the paper range from Die Cuts with a View and cost $4.97. I added the extra layers in the middle of the flowers by using a K & Co die cut book (punched out flowers) as my stencil then hand cut the new flowers and layered them on top of each other. I finally found the K & Co Pad of Die Cut Flowers..... as many of you know I've had serious flower envy of my best scrap buddy as she managed to get one of these at a show and I didn't and ever since I've regretted it. But it is a good example of how saving up your pennies to spend th

Wedding Album - Mother of the Bride

I love this page! I love this paper! I didn't want to cover all the pattern so again I hand cut sections of it out to frame around the photos. The chipboard pieces are all recycled and were coloured by inking and then painting with a clear glitter paint. My mum gave me away at my wedding as my father and I were estranged at the time (it took her impending death to soften him up)... anyway I'm so glad that my mum had this role as it means I have some lovely photos of her and I. A few of my mum's friends from her childhood came to the wedding and helped to set the party mood right off the bat! We have video footage of my mum being twirled around by her friend Del. They tell me it was the proudest day of her life!

Announcing: I'm Pregnant!

Hi everyone, I can now announce that the reason my posts have been less prolific than you're used to from me is because I'm now 13 weeks pregnant. This will be our third child. The kids are very excited! DD wants the baby to be a girl and DS wants another boy... Well someone will be happy! The baby is due 29th December. The regularity of my posts have dropped off a little as I've been so sick with all day morning sickness! The worst part is I can't say I throw up every morning then its over so I can start my day.... I'm spontaneously throwing up all day and all night. No regular pattern to it! I'm really over the morning sickness part of it now I can tell you! I'm also really over the midwives and the doctors referring to how OLD I am! Gosh they make you feel ancient! O.K. so most of the women waiting in the ante-natal clinic are in their late teens early twenties but gosh I'm not over the hill yet at 37! So if I don't post for a while you'll kno

More Seaworld layouts

Here's the rest of the pages for my album of DD's birthday at Seaworld. I've used the same embellishments and papers throughout so the book will look unified. I've also done some of my journalling on computer and have left some to do by hand as I like to add this touch to the kids albums for them to view in the future.

My Little Girl Turned 4.

My DD turned 4 over the weekend. We had a few little parties for the event. First there was her school cake ceremony then her family dinner with cupcakes and finally a trip to Seaworld. I'm finding the Seaworld photos lots of fun to scrap. I'm doing these digitally so I can have them all printed in one book. I love the embellishments from these kits. here are a few pages for you to give me your feedback on. The kits I used are: aquatique" par Newlife by juillet 2007 "SG Refresh" by Scrap Girls' design team

Readers Submission layout - Edinburgh

Here's another readers submission. (by the way if you'd like me to feature a layout of yours please email it to: cheapscrapbookingideas@yahoo.com with an explanaton). This one is a great example of how to use multiple photos on a layout to best effect. I especially love the "negative film" effect. This allows you to add lots of photos on a layout. And you can see how all the ticket etc have been added for extra memories! What's the most number of photos you've squeezed into one layout? Thanks for this great layout Deb!

Wedding Album - My Bouquet

Image
I've finished another page for my album. This one is all about my bouquet. Which I loved! And nearly didn't get! On the day of our wedding the flowers were to be delivered to my husbands' parents place but the florist delivered them to the wrong house. (Which was empty at the time, the people who lived there were out). Luckily for us there was an old man in their street who watched EVERYTHING! And he went and got them and delivered them to the right house. So his busy body ways that had driven us crazy up till then actually came in handy! LOL So love thy neighbour even the odd ones. You never know when their quirky ways will come handy to you. I scanned all my photos and have them on back up just in case which I highly recommend! I took one of the images and zoomed in on my flowers and printed this separately (that's the small square photo you see). The paper I used for this background comes from the Die Cuts With a View Once Upon a Time range and has a lovely stained g
