Heavy Metal Scrapbooking

I was just watching Craft TV Weekly and saw a webisode on using aluminium cans in your layout. I think this is a great idea but for any of you wanting to save time on the metal preparation check out my previous post and layout: http://cheap-scrapbooking-ideas.blogspot.com/2006/10/baby-formula-tin-yields-scrapbooking.html This will show you how I used the inside lid linning of my baby formula tins. You don't need to cut the can up or iron it flat! The metal is all prepared for you and in some cases has a pattern impressed into it. I love what he's done with this idea though check it out: www.crafttvweekly.com

How to use Bark on a Layout

Image
O.K. so here is an example of a layout I did previously using bark. This layout has been posted before but I thought for anyone who hasn't been with me since the beginning you wouldn't of seen this idea and therefore my last post might of seemed a little odd.... LOL So here you can see I've used Bark, gumnuts and paperclay to embellish my layout very cheaply. I do practice what I preach! For those of you who have watched my videos on the "no bake clay" here is an example of me using this on one of my layouts. I pushed the clay into a mould my best scrapbuddy owns and let it dry overnight before adhering it to little squares of paper.

Using Found Objects

I recently went on a lovely holiday to the Sunshine Coast (home of Steve Irwin , recently deceased) with my family..... My husband took some photos' and I foraged some shells and then I put this layout together. This is a very cheap layout as it uses alot of scraps of paper from other projects and some stickers from a gift I was given.... then there's the shells.. FREE..... so all in all its a very cheap layout.... Hope you like it! I'd love to see some other ideas for beach layouts.
