Scrapbook Retreat Weekend at DaisyChain Scrapbooks

My weekend scrapbook retreat at daisy chain scrapbook store at nambour:

O.K. guys I had the BEST time 23rd and 24th of May. I went on a scrapbook retreat with my best scrapbuddy and her work colleage and while we were there I made a new scrapbuddy. I was so lucky to have her at our table. She helped me with one of my layouts (I'll show you in a future blog), it looks fantastic!
If you're looking for a retreat to go on this is definitely the one in my opinion. The cost was $175. That gave us two nights accomodation and all meals along with unlimited scrapbooking time at the store. As well as one class and two demonstrations and heaps of freebies.
The weekend was a "happy days" themed weekend and the daisy chain girls went all out to make everything fit that theme. We watched happy days and grease too! Friday night we stayed up till midnight and Saturday night it was a 2am bedtime. I know there were other girls who stayed up later than us but we wanted to be able to enjoy each day too.. not have to drag ourselves through. Plus I wanted to get there in time for breakfast (which is my favourite meal!)
I'll put up my layouts from the weekend in order of completion to show you. I didn't do as many as my best scrap buddy and her work colleage but I really love all the ones I did as I was able to really put some time into the ones I did.
I did more shopping than is usual for me over the weekend... But it was hard not too as their prices are really reasonable! Plus the shop was so well stocked. I've been to larger shops and ones of a similar size and they don't have the same amount of stock and range as Daisy Chain does. The shop is at nambour, on the sunshine coast. If you drop in say hello from me!
I'm trying to figure out when I could save up again and go! I'd like to do a summer one next time. But they're booked out well in advance because everyone loves them so much.
I was able to leave the kids with hubby for the weekend and he was amazing. He looked after a 5month old baby a nearly 5 year old and a 7 year old. All weekend on his own. And when I left Ella wasn't drinking from a bottle.... They all survived though.. with some help from my sister-in-law who had to do my daughters' hair as daddy left home sunday morning to go visit them without having done her hair (think birds nest in the worst possible way).

Glad to hear you had a good time Kyra. BTW DD1 left her cats here and the boys have been playing with them ever since.

Hi! I have been MIA for awhile now but wanted to drop by and say hello! I've been limiting my computer time but here it is nearly 1am! Arh! can't sleep lol. Anyway I can imagine what fun you must have had in Nambour. I've been to that store for a day while hubby was on a course and it is amazing.
